A very real, unseen world surrounds us. The God-directed angelic realm right now is battling in the heavenlies against the demonic influences, principalities, and wicked spiritual forces over nations, peoples, situations. From chariots of fire (2 Kings 6:16-17) to the warrior-protector archangel Michael over Israel (Daniel 10:13-21 and Revelation 12:7-12).

 

Those heavenly battles impact ours. Which means while on this tangible earth, you and I are fighting the unseen with swords of prayer, intercession, and praise. And The Sword, the Word of God.

For I AM GOD, and there’s none like me, declaring the end from the beginning . . . My counsel shall stand, and I WILL accomplish all my purpose.

Request: The level of evil unleashed on the body of Christian believers (adults/children) worldwide is escalating beyond the pale and more so now as they’re being slaughtered/crucified or worse along with the Alawites (an Arab group) by al-Julani’s terror group in Syria. Demonic principalities—spirits of death and destruction—are raging over regions and peoples, performing unspeakable violent acts.

Prayer: Tear down the spiritual strongholds. Most holy King, there truly is none like you—righteous, merciful, mighty, Redeemer, Deliverer, Savior, champion, hero, everlasting love, steadfast, lovingkindness, the Great I Am. No matter how the nations, peoples, demonic realm rages, your will and purposes will be done. Your promises fulfilled. Carry and strengthen those called by your name, those facing horrific death or abuse yet faithfully professing Jesus. Bring the sweetness of fellowship and deeper teaching of the Word to those believers who walk the Gospel alone. And may your mercies embrace the Alawites; for those left alive, bring forth the understanding they need to believe and receive Jesus as Messiah so they may walk in your truth, life, way. Prayer: God’s promises fulfilled. Adonai, your enemies are surrounding and thwarting your Servant Israel. You have called them by name—they are yours. Woo them to your arms during these trials, speak life and cover them with your mercies. Strengthen their military offense and defense strategies, but through it all, may you get the glory. May Israel share with the world their words of testimony about your greatness, faithfulness, wonder, and Salvation in Yeshua. In Yeshua’s holy name.

Request: Matt’s emotional issues and bipolar condition have landed him back in jail—but now in a mental hospital for a competency program so he can stand before the judge. God’s mercies upon mercies are needed.

Prayer: Mercy, healing, freedom in Messiah. Adonai, Jehovah-Nissi, the Lord our Banner, please stretch yourself over Matt, be his banner, his guiding light, salvation, healer, protector. There is none like you, Lord, you are El Olam, the Everlasting Father. Only you can help Matt. Please move heaven to action on his behalf . . . keep him from further incarceration. Give him a merciful option that releases healing and comfort for the rest of his life. Deliver him from the clutches of the enemy. My King and my God. In Yeshua’s blessed name.

Psalm 34:18

The Lord is near the brokenhearted;
He saves those crushed in spirit.

Request: Kristine was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and needs God’s strength and presence.

Prayer: Encourage and strengthen her soul. Glorious King, Immanuel, God with us, please walk with Kristine through this valley. Let her sense your Holy Spirit falling on her so Psalm 34:18 becomes real to her. That you’re right there beside her, feeling her crushed spirit but breathing encouragement and strength over her. Help her know and hear your voice of comfort and direction. Quiet the fears as you pull her closer to you. May the truth of our Messiah Jesus heal her soul as you sustain and restore her body. In Jesus’s sweet, powerful name.

Be gracious to me, Lord, for I am weak; heal me, Lord, for my bones are shaking.

Request: Charlene—breast cancer patient—was on our prior prayer lists. After a rough time with chemo therapy, mumps, and a bad infection, Charlene’s ultrasound revealed that the tumor shrunk by over 50%! Please keep the prayers going as she continues her infusion treatments.

Prayer: Help me, Lord. El Gibbor, Mighty God, thank you for your intervention, for carrying Charlene through this rough patch. You know how these fearful times cause our bones to quiver. We need to feel your arms around her. Never let her go, my King. Love on Charlene through this storm and part the waters so she can dance before you in joy. In Jesus’s holy name.

I will trust in Him and not fear, for the Lord gives me strength and protects me.

Request: Toni needs God’s strength as she battles COPD, diabetes, other health issues. Two times in a little over a week she has had to have the EMTs at her house. It is getting difficult for her to be alone.

Prayer: God’s covering. El Chaiyai, God of my Life, encircle your daughter Toni with your protection and send angels to minister to her in the difficult times—and please strengthen her lungs, stabilize her blood sugar, and bring to mind your Word that she’s hidden in her heart over the years serving you. May you bless her in all ways with abundant grace for your glory as you gently lead her on this next part of her journey in and with you, casting out fear and helping faith arise within her. In Yeshua’s powerful, grace-filled name.

Psalm 107:19-20

Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress. He sent his Word and healed them and delivered them from destruction.

Request: Jewish mother and daughter, both needing prayer support. Arly for serious health issues—significantly low hemoglobin 6.1 (anemia) and a painful kidney stone plus suffering with RA (rheumatoid arthritis). And her soon-to-turn-18 Kayla needs prayer for painful gastro/stomach issues and wisdom for upcoming educational decisions.

Prayer: A touch from heaven. Faithful God, Ha’El hanne’eman ( הָאֵל֙ הַנֶּֽאֱמָ֔ן), you have shown your steadfast love and unparalleled faithfulness to Israel from the beginning. Please watch over your daughters Arly and Kayla, drawing them deeper into your love, healing, grace, comfort, wisdom. May your eyes and heart turn toward them to demonstrate your chesed (lovingkindness) giving them the answers they need medically. Usher healing under your wings as you help them find rest and hide them in the shelter of your sacred tent and set them high upon the Rock. (Psalm 27:5). Guide Kayla every step of the way as she seeks your will, not her own, so you are glorified. Baruch haba b’shem Adonai, Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord . . . Yeshua.

Request: Rabbi Deitsch is head of the Chabad of the East Valley in Arizona and has delivered prayers before the US Senate and House of Representatives. He needs to know his Messiah Yeshua.

Prayer: God’s love story. Mighty Go’el, Redeemer, step into Rabbi Mendy’s life. You see his commitment to your Law and Torah, but much like the Pharisee Saul Paulus, he needs a Damascene experience to meet the Messiah Yeshua, to learn the fullness of your Glorious Redemptive Plan, given to the Jew first, then the Gentiles. Update: From our prior list, Tony, 86, has been diagnosed with gall bladder cancer and now is waiting for his PetScan results.

Prayer: Held tight in God’s hands. Gracious King, Sustainer of Life, we continue to ask for the healing power of the cross to be released within Tony. We seek your face and divine intervention. Please cover Tony with your protection, your strength, your endless love. Carry him through these uncertain patches, guiding and comforting him and his family in your rest . . . and please give wisdom and understanding and the right treatment plans to the doctors. Request: Maureen has severe bronchitis after previously battling a virus. She needs God’s rest, healing grace, and His voice rising within her.

Prayer: God’s mercy and deliverance. El Shaddai, the all-sufficient, nourishing God, please let your heavenly waterfall of healing and provisions rain down on Maureen. Let it overflow into all areas of her life with favor, abundance, quietness of soul, refreshment, promises fulfilled. Two months into 2025, the escalation and acceleration of spiritual battles—globally and personally—are impacting each of us. From the unimaginable, heart-piercing Israeli hostage situations we’ve learned about to the whirlwind of presidential changes in the US.

 

In these times, I’m often drawn back to certain verses in Psalm 77 where Asaph wrote about a soul so raw with grief that it couldn’t be comforted. And yet, in time . . . the soul remembers the Lord and can breathe again. In Asaph’s verses 11-15, grief is broken off by praising God.
 

I shall remember the deeds of the Lord;
I will certainly remember Your wonders of old.

I will meditate on all Your work,
And on Your deeds with thanksgiving.

 

Your way, God, is holy;
What god is great like our God?

 

You are the God who works wonders;
You have made known Your strength among the peoples.

By Your power You have redeemed Your people . . .

 

May your soul turn to Him and find rest again despite the chaos . . . and may it be revived under the shelter of His glorious wings.

PRAYER UPDATES

 

#1. YESHI’s FAMILY

Update: After Yeshi’s name appeared on our last prayer list (and others), we sent an update that she was off life support and then out of the hospital. A short reprieve from God, a gracious gift for the family before He called Yeshi home to be with Him.

Prayer: And my dwelling will be in the house of the Lord forever (Psalm 23:6b). Lord, may you wrap your arms around Yeshi’s hubby Steve and family during the days and months ahead. And may her memory be a comfort as your presence strengthens them.

 

#2. ANTHONY (TONY)

Update: Tony, 86, was on our last prayer list, with kidney functioning at 14%. Since then, he’s been diagnosed with gall bladder cancer. Prayer family, he needs our prayer support.

Prayer: The Lord is my strength and my song, and He has become my salvation (Psalm 118:14). Mighty Healer, Merciful King, we ask for the power and healing of the cross to be released in Tony. Please counsel him, strengthen him, and walk close beside him. And may your comforting presence be with him and his entire family as they look to you for help, encouragement, and healing. In Jesus’s precious name.

 

#3. ROGER & ANDREA

Updates: Since being on our last prayer list, Roger has undergone various diagnostics. Thankfully, the lumps in his upper/lower arm aren’t cancerous. He still needs prayer for his feeble/painful knees and gastric concerns.

Andrea’s stage 4 breast cancer is in a “remission.” But she’s having many problems now with medication side effects and needs God’s counsel, grace, mercy.

And their youngest Australian Shepherd (Gio) is having epileptic fits at times.

Prayer: Incline your ear, Lord, and answer me, for I am afflicted and needy . . . be gracious to me, O Lord, for I call upon you all day long (Psalm 86:1,3). We praise you, Adonai, for keeping watch over Roger and Andrea. Please bring the medical answers and healings needed so they can be stronger to care for one another and serve you. Also, please keep your healing hand on Gio and lead the veterinarian in the right medical protocols. In Yeshua’s glorious name.

 

#4. HOSTAGES

Update: Phase 1 of the ceasefire deal/hostage release is over (for now) but the freed hostages’ ordeal in captivity and its aftermath on them and the ache of knowing there are more hostages still suffering in those Hamas conditions remains.

Prayer: The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). God, you are the Great Rescuer, may your mercies rain down on each one—freed hostages and those still in captivity. Heal them from the torturous memories of the inhumane, humiliating things they’ve been through . . . and for those still physically caged in the dark Hamas clutches, be their Light, sustain them with hope, physically, mentally, spiritually. Draw them closer to You so they sense your presence, find comfort in your voice and in your Word. In His glorious, saving name.

It’s for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and don’t let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

Request: Henry had been on past prayer lists for his drug addiction but got clean before he/his girlfriend had a baby girl. Now, he’s lost his way again.

Prayer: God’s deliverance. Lord of Life, speak to the darkness within and around Henry—cast it out and save his soul. Turn his heart to you so he denounces the demonic hold he agreed with at some point . . . and so he bows down, surrenders, calls you Lord, and is free. Free indeed, in Jesus our Messiah’s name.

 

#6. CHILE’S SALVATION

Titus 2:11, 13

For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all people . . . looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus.

Request: Seeking God’s hand for a revival. Please stir your holy fire and spread the Gospel throughout Chile and help all evangelical Christians’ faith to be filled with a powerful love for You, Lord, and Your ways. And for their safety since last year saw a number of violent or arson attacks on chapels.

Prayer: God’s evangelism gift growing. Abba, please sow seeds of righteousness and redemption throughout Chile, falling on rich soil in the soul. Help those calling themselves Christians to study the Word and cultivate a deep, true relationship with you vs merely having religion. In Jesus’s glorious name.

Request: After years of trying and being told she couldn’t have children, 38-year-old Ashley is pregnant! May God cover her and her unborn child.

Prayer: Under His wings. God of the impossible, we thank you, praise you, and lift up your name. May your powerful, loving hand rest on Ashley and the child in her womb . . . protect them throughout the pregnancy to full term and a safe, joyous delivery. May you get all the glory, Precious King. And may the child be anointed to serve you mightily! In Yeshua’s sweet name.

Request: Nearing 81, John was just released from the hospital after having several mini-strokes.

Prayer: El Elyon, God Most High, watch over John, protecting him, healing his heart. And, above all else, drawing his soul closer to you and the faith he had in you and in our Messiah, Jesus. In His kingly name we pray.

And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith.

Request: Seeking God’s face to finish strong, accurately hearing His voice, keeping aligned with His desires.

Prayer: Hail to You, King of kings, Lord of lords. Please counsel your daughter, girding her in new ways so she rises in your Word, follows your decrees, and walks strongly and perseveres in all that you’ve ordained for her to do. For she is the workmanship of your hands. In Yeshua’s name.

You will guide me with your counsel and afterward receive me in glory.

Request: Needing God’s guidance on her testimony project and personal decisions as well as provisions for finances.

Prayer: Jehovah Shalom, our Lord who is peace/completeness, continue to walk with your daughter, leading her on the path you have cleared for her. Help her to take it all in your time, step by step, as your provisions make a way where none is visible. Let wisdom surround her and bless her evangelistic spiritual gift. Request: Healing in all familial relationships—and salvation delivering them from themselves.

Prayer: Abba, please help this family do a 180 and run toward you. Where there is chaos, bring your shalom; where there is division, bring healing and unity; where there is disrespect and lies, bring forward honor, love, and truth. And where there is deceit, addiction, thievery on all levels, please uproot it and sow honesty, deliverance, and generosity. In Jesus’s name.

You are my hiding place, you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.

Request: Deepen walk with Jesus on all levels, returning fully to his first love, our Messiah.

Prayer: Lord, only you know the troubled areas of Doug’s soul. As an ex-military man who is now battling ill health and things of the past, he needs your intervention and needs the tentacles of past vices to be cleanly, fully cut off. Request: Spiritual, physical, emotional protection over this elementary little one as she ping-pongs between parental homes since a divorce.

Prayer: Your heart, Lord God, is with the children. Please spread your wings and shelter Abigail in every situation, helping her to walk in your ways as her mother taught her and guarding her on all sides from ungodly influences. May your name be written on her soul. In Jesus’ precious name.

#1. Jamie P.

Psalm 46:7

The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.

My sweet cousin Jamie is back in the hospital today after a reaction to his treatment for stage 4 lung and liver cancer. What this means going forward is uncertain. El Emunah, Faithful God, be glorified in this. We bow down to you, to your power and majesty. Please do what you do so wonderfully—carry Jamie in your arms and make your presence known like never before. Guide this situation with your mighty, merciful, loving, gentle, healing hand and gift of life.

 

#2. Toni.

Psalm 27:5

For he will hide me in his shelter in the day of trouble; he will conceal me under the cover of his tent . . .

Toni is on oxygen all the time and experiencing other challenging health issues. El Shaddai, our Almighty, All-Sufficient God, our Precious King, please ease her breathing, shelter her beneath your wings, and lead the way so she can get her residence in order after the daunting move.

Psalm 33:20-21

Our soul waits for the Lord; He is our help and our shield, for our heart shall rejoice in Him because we have trusted in His holy name.

Our precious, senior-citizen sister in the Lord is having pain in both shoulders, especially the left. Loving Lord, you are Haggo’el, our Redeemer. Please continue to watch over your daughter Sonia, stretch out your mighty wings, shielding and embracing her as you call forth healing and medical wisdom where needed. Bless her sleep and energize her body to fulfill the ministry anointing you’ve set upon her.

2 Peter 3:9

The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

Facing health difficulties, Cliff, a 70-something nonbeliever, is seeking God’s help. Lord, may you arise and show Cliff the beauty of your redemptive plan—the truth, life, and way found only in Jesus, our Messiah.

 

#5. Brian Morse.

Jeremiah 31:3

The Lord appeared to him from far away. I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you.

From mid-April, some of us were called to pray for Brian who has a stage 4 inoperable lung cancer. May God’s immeasurable mercy and lovingkindness draw Brian to the Lord and bring him strength and peace—and eternal life in our Messiah.

 

#6. Matt.

Matthew 11:28-30

Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.

My 40-year-old, bipolar nephew with some emotional issues when not on meds is in a city jail and just had another sentence added on. Our hearts are deeply broken because he’s out of state and not easy for us to visit. Abba, we seek your face and direction. And we ask for your intervention, ushering in solid Bible studies that honor our Messiah. Please bless Matt with your tangible presence for companionship, learning, spiritual maturing, as well as healing and deliverance in mind, body, and soul.

Psalm 84:11

For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless.

A young believer in the Lord, Que and his family have embarked on a catering/food-truck business. They’re in the midst of changing residences, seeking the Lord’s guidance, provisions, and favor on all that they do. Holy King, you are the Light of the world. Shine your light from heaven onto Que and his family, Round up clients from all directions to enjoy and be blessed by Que’s yummy cooking. And cover Que and his family with your Word, giving them a hunger and thirst for you and your ways always. In Jesus’s sweet, glorious name.

 

#8. Davida.

Psalm 145:18

The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.

A lovely Jewish woman who is suffering with a frozen vocal cord. Also, she struggles believing in God, but when I (led by God) encouraged her to read Psalms, she said she would.

Go’el Yisrael, Redeemer of Israel, our God, our King, transform Davida. Release her vocal cord. Bind the enemy’s lies and influence. Give her new spiritual lenses to see you, know you, believe in you, and grow in you and your Word. Make the psalms come alive for her. And help her soul recognize and walk in our Messiah Yeshua/Jesus.

 

#9. Ruth.

Psalm 143:8

Let me hear in the morning of your steadfast love, for in you I trust.Make me know the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul.

Another wonderful Jewish woman who studies Torah. Ruth needs healing for her back (she’s in physical therapy)and for her hubby’s health—he’s battling prostate cancer and diabetes. The LORD is mighty, glorious is His name. May He speak to Ruth and her husband, drawing them closer to Him, revealing Himself, and his relentless love shown through Yeshua (Jesus) our Messiah.

 

#10. J.

Isaiah 46:4

Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.

A bright Jewish woman who studies Torah but sees God as energy running in the background of life. Lord of Israel, please step forth in J’s life, imparting heightened and deepened understanding and faith for her to see and know that you are ever present, up close and personal, into the details, and that your Word is true, faithful, immovable. And that you are manifested in Yeshua who came up from within you.

 

#11. Caroline B.’s Family.

Psalm 34:18

The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

We prayed in April for Caroline who was at eternity’s door. She has since crossed that threshold . . . but now her family needs prayer for comfort and salvation that can only be found in our Messiah and King, Jesus.

 

#12. Leslie.

Philippians 1:9-10

And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ.

As this dear sister in the Lord sits obediently before our King, she is waiting for His direction, timing, provisions for her ministry calling. Her heart’s desire is to please Him in all that she does. Adonai Tsuri v’go’ali, Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer, hear the cry of your daughter’s heart, woo her to your secret place and continue to reveal in your time and way what she’s to do along each step of her ministry journey.
