Sukkot, the seven-day Feast of Tabernacles, begins at sundown on Wednesday/October 16, Tishrei 15 on the Judaic calendar.

It is one of God’s mo’edim (appointed time), calling B’nei Israel to build temporary booths and reside in them (meals, study, gatherings, some sleep in them), per God’s command based on Leviticus 23:40, Deuteronomy 16:13-16, and even in the coming Millennial Kingdom, Zechariah 14:16-19 when all nations will celebrate Sukkot because the King of kings, Lord Yeshua will once again tabernacle with us—reigning over the world.

Whenever I’ve sat in my sukkah—a precarious, temporary booth with no roof, except for a few branches because we must see the sky above us—or visited someone else’s sukkah, my soul wells up. A holy convergence of joy and humbling. Mindful of God’s greatness, his creation and provisions surrounding me, his forgiveness mercifully shed over me time and time again.

The EXODUS Connection

Sukkot and another biblical feast day are also reminders of the Exodus: during Pesach (Passover) we re-walk the Exodus (freedom from captivity) and during Sukkot we re-walk and recall the arduous 40-year trek (where faith was tested) to freedom, to the promised land, Israel.

As Rabbi Greenberg put it: “Sukkot expresses the deeper Exodus—the reflective, gritty days of marching . . . Freedom came as a result of pitching tents [booths/sukkot] and taking them down over the course of 14, 600 days . . . Sukkot honors the 43,000 meals prepared on the desert trek, the cleanups, the washing of utensils.”

In other words, re-walking the Exodus journey (Sukkot) is about putting our faith in action. Rabbi Greenberg said it like this [red emphasis is mine]:

“Passover is the holiday of faith;

Sukkot is the holiday of faithfulness.”

1 Samuel 12:24. Only fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with all your heart—consider what great things he has done for you.

Romans 15:13

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Double blessing! It started when Bernie’s hip surgery was on hold because they found blockages in her heart and that she had an enlarged heart—but later scans showed no blockages and no enlarged heart. Blessing One. Then onto Blessing Two. The October 10 hip surgery was back on. God stretched out his hand over it all. Bernie said: “Miracles never stop. I was in a Christian hospital! They had prayers over the intercom! Surgery went perfect. Thank you for the prayer chain.” Glory to God!

Be gracious to me, Lord, for I call upon you all day long. Make the soul of your servant joyful, for to you, Lord, I lift up my soul.

October 14’s SOS PRAYER ALERT was for a fellow prayer warrior-Anonymous-who underwent a cardiac procedure that day. She made it through the procedure but later her blood pressure was low, then other issues ensued to the point where they had to bring her back with paddles. Now, God’s hand is forming a canopy of protection over her, and she is resting well, hoping to be out of ICU soon and then later, home. Please continue to pray for his strengthening and healing throughout her body.

Lamentations 3:24

The Lord is my portion,” says my soul,“therefore I will hope in him.”

God’s covering has been with Carm throughout her move from the East Coast to the West. She was on our previous prayer list—widowed earlier this year and then had to pick up roots and move to the other side of the country. With God’s comforting hand, she is getting settled in her new place and loves it! Oh taste and see that the Lord is good!

Psalm 69:16

Hear me, O LORD; for thy lovingkindness is good: turn unto me according to the multitude of thy tender mercies.

Jeanelle had been on our list for her September 30 hysterectomy surgery after diagnostics showed an abnormality in the uterus. God stepped in! She texted the same day of her surgery that it went extremely well. The doctor was truly gifted and one of Jeanelle ‘s friends took care of her afterward. She is in no pain. And she is thankful for all the prayers support and to her Messiah, Yeshua.

Lord, how my enemies have increased! Many are rising up against me . . . But you, Lord, are a shield around me, my glory and the lifter of my head.

The heat is on. Turkey wants an alliance with Russia, Iran, Hezbollah against Israel. The Houthis are still at it. Yet, God’s presence is among his servant, Israel. May they prevail in and with him.

God of the Battle, war over your enemies. Empower your angelic realm to aid Israel as you speak wisdom to Netanyahu and his coalition and war cabinet. Strengthen the IDF and all Israeli military efforts, deliver critical intel to them on all levels—both in the natural and supernaturally. Safeguard, fine-tune, and increase their technology, strategies, weaponry, resilience. Encourage all military personnel, helping their minds and hearts to stay courageous, focused, and able to continue onward, filled by your love for them. And may your mercies fall gently and bountifully on B’nei Israel, the Children of Israel.

SURGERY DELAYED AGAIN! Shirl’s October 22 surgery to remove fluid on the brain was canceled–there weren’t enough IV fluid bags because the manufacturer company was in the hurricane and have low stock.
Shirl has been wheelchair-bound because of the fluid and has had to endure this for quite a while, waiting for a surgery date so she can walk again. Understandably, the surgical procedure is unsettling and the delay yet again doesn’t help. Shirl has fought breast cancer in the past and knows the power and grace of God. We are waiting on God’s timing, mercy, strength.

Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty, you hear our cries, you see our challenges and discouragements. You are the Great I Am! Please embrace Shirl with mercy, comfort, strength, and your voice carrying encouragement and revealing your faithfulness. May you step forward and make a way where there is none. Removing the hurdles and obstructions for this surgery in your perfect timing, with your perfect conditions, your perfection in and through all of this. Bless this upcoming surgery down to the infinitesimal details for Shirl’s complete recovery. And may you, precious King, get ALL the glory and honor. In Jesus’s sweet Name, the NAME above ALL names.

October 30, outpatient surgery. Gene’s not been feeling well for some time and has had some gut-related issues. Surgeons will perform a biopsy of Gene’s pancreas and retinol.

Adonai, you are comforter, healer, and wisdom. Please crown Gene with favor and compassion. Wrap him in your healing garment, letting him sense your presence and trust your hand in this. May you stretch out your arms and embrace the surgeons and guide each second of the procedure through the recovery. Bring forth the answers needed, the healing and any further treatment.

Austin is a young man struggling on many things—his family, his soul, his relationship to God. And he’s tried numbing the pain by what the world offers. But God is calling this prodigal back home.

Abba, may Austin’s soul thirst for you, regardless of life’s storms around him. May he seek your face, sit quietly before you, trusting, waiting, lifted by your Word and voice. Please stir his heart for you, encourage him, helping him walk uprightly, going from strength to strength in you.

But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.

Josi seeks strength in her walk with the Lord, desiring more of the Holy Spirit. And, in her job as a caregiver for patients, Josi (who is Hispanic) is asking God to bring her more English-speaking clients to help her learn how to communicate with them better. She also seeks him for improved finances and for her children to get along better and get good grades.

King of kings, please usher in Jose’s life a new level of walking with you, hearing you, listening to your voice. Awaken her spiritual gifts and fine-tune them, giving her a deeper understanding of your Word. May this newness carry over to her finances and business life where she can be blessed with more English-speaking clients to serve them on broader levels. Wherever she goes, let her be an ambassador of Christ, anointing her speech, actions, and thoughts. And may her family be filled with your peace and grace, striving to do well in school and all walks of their life before you.

Major shifting still in progress. Miss Brown needs God’s urgent intervention—financial assistance for the immediate and upcoming needs, covering her out-of-state move and other needs for her and her children.

Abba, we know you’re moving in this situation. Your promises are steadfast. Your character true, above all others. None are like you. Please level every mountain, every obstacle, every interference in this situation so your will flows on a clear path, your words and desires accomplished. And so everything—from basic necessities to more profound needs—are handled. Thank you, for you are our Shepherd who hears and knows our needs and uses all things for your glory. Ever since her back surgery 3.5 years ago as a result of stage 4 breast cancer, her back pain daily teeters at 8-10 (on a scale of 10). She needs a deep move of God to ease her daily life.

Precious Lord, day in and day out, she calls to you for relief. We pray for your great mercy, healing, mighty hand, love, and answer to fall from heaven and rain over Andrea—a holy waterfall from your throne brimming with the power of the cross to heal, restore, deliver. There is none like you, Glorious King. Only you can step in and bless your daughter.

Since you are my rock and my fortress, for the sake of your name, lead and guide me.

J. A. walks by faith, traveling throughout the US as God leads. She needs prayer support to walk more closely to him, to make decisions per his will, and to grow in him and his Word.

Glorious King, your eyes are on the sparrow . . . and on J. A. Hear the cries of her heart and align her soul with yours on every matter set before her. Help her, Holy Spirit, to not veer to the left or right but to walk honoring you in all things.

Marcus seeks your continued prayers for his brothers and himself to get along—and for salvation for his brothers (Steve and Jim). Jim who was on our prayer list in the past because of terrible vehicle accident and was almost paralyzed has a praise report: he is healing up well. Thank you, Lord.

Oh Lord, you know the heart . . . and you desire peace, grace, and forgiveness among brothers. Please release your truth, your Gospel, in ways Steve and Jim will understand, be humbled, and bow down to you, forsaking all else. And help Marcus to put his foot, step by step, where you lead in all these matters and let love prevail.

The Lord will give strength to his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace.

Toni, a longtime believer in Jesus, is a senior citizen who had to move earlier this year due to finances and now is facing a rent hike at the new place. She hasn’t even finished unpacking from her move and is not physically well. And she also seeks God’s traveling mercies on Tina and Bob, her sister and brother-in-law.

Lord, you are radiant and holy. We thank you for all the ways you’ve helped and gifted your daughter, Toni, over the years. She needs resources to open up. Please shed your grace, mercy, provisions, and guidance on this situation, helping her to follow you and do your will. And please allow your traveling mercies to cover Tina and Bob wherever and however they travel, keeping them in the palm of your gracious hand.

Hear me, O LORD; for your lovingkindness is good; turn to me according to the multitude of your tender mercies.

Doug has had serious health issues in the past, is recently retired, and now his dermatologist said that the two spots on Doug’s body—one on the side of his head and one on his arm—are basil cell carcinoma. The doc scraped them both and cauterized them. But the one on Doug’s arm is still bleeding from the day before. He has an appointment next week to discuss treatment.

We look to you, Lord, seeking your chesed (lovingkindness) for Doug. Please step into this situation and comfort him, flow wisdom to his doctor, and release healing according to your will, timing, glory. Let your name and your Word be a comfort, drawing Doug closer to you, reminding him of your faithfulness and love.

A famine of sorts but not of bread or water. Unknown at the time, this disturbing dream in early October 2024 would soon link to the watchwords God revealed in the early hours of New Year’s 2025.

WATCHWORD GIVEN: A wake-up call from a God-given dream in early October 2024

Somewhat reminiscent of Amos 8:11, this watchword rises from a spiritual dream—realistic, unforgettable, unsettling. A famine of sorts but not of bread or water.

The dream carries a two-part call to every believer in our Messiah, Jesus. That call is stated in the latter part of this post.

As the dream begins, I was lying in a hospital. A row of white-linen hospital beds with patients were on either side of me. Not ill, I got up and walked over to talk with some medical staff.

A woman sitting upright on the side of her bed caught my attention. Her legs hung over the side as she just sat there. Near catatonic, it seemed. Blank. Lifeless. A shell of a person.

Somehow I was given the care of her and another woman who was in the same state. I had to get them out of there. Oddly, before we left, someone had handed me a business-like card and said that it was a buffet.
 

In the next scene, I exited the large building, the two women on my left, blank souls mindlessly following me. I had to get them fed, wanting to bless them because they were in such poor shape.

I remembered the card. I held it, reading it several times. The word BUFFET was strong—not seen but sensed. But I didn’t want a buffet. I felt they needed to be served a quality, plated meal.

A slew of people, a faceless, shell-like crowd, exited the building we’d been in and moved en masse like a swarm to the left down the street. I sensed they were going for food too.

Following the swarm could mean a long wait for food. The “buffet” place per the card was directly across the street—and these two women needed food fast.

So we crossed the empty city street, walked inside the buffet building, and found the hostess counter. A young women dressed in a colorful sequined gown helped us while another young woman, also gowned in sequins, was busy behind her.

Feeling underdressed but not caring, I showed the card to the first woman as I signed in.

“We were given this.”

“Oh, yes, you can go right in.”

Walking past the two women, I stopped to look back at the second woman, her gown’s shimmering blue woven among the other colorful sequins. But I recalled that a sequin/glittery gown can mean deceit in a dream—and made note of it.

A strange scene confronted us as we entered the buffet dining room. There was a long buffet counter on my left and dining tables and chairs in front of me and on my right. People were seated at many of the tables—lifeless like the women with me. They were motionless, waiting. They had silverware but no plates, no cups, and no food.

Sitting like that in quietness, obedience, staring straight ahead was something right out of The Invasion of the Body Snatchers.

I told the two women with me to be seated at a small table in front of me, near the buffet line. They obeyed and sat, still lifeless. But then I noticed that the buffet’s stainless steel chafing dishes were empty, like the people.

Exasperated, I stood behind the now-seated two women and tossed my things on a chair opposite them. I told them, “I have to find out what’s going on.” But really, I don’t know if they heard or understood me at that point.

A server—not catatonic like the others—appeared and stood facing me.

Doubtful things would go well, I tried anyway. “Where’s the food? There’s no food.”

Deceit-fueled defiance shrouded her face. “We have food.”

What cheek! A scripted lie for sure. She stood facing me, unflinchingly.

Challenging her, I looked again at the empty chafing pans and back at the server. “Where?”

She didn’t move, only looked at me, stonewalled.

That was it. Something had to be done. Talking aloud but primarily to myself: “I’ve got to find out what’s going on.”

I started to turn to do just that . . . then woke up.

Mindless Sheep: Spiritual Buffet of Nothingness

A Call to Pray & Lead the Lifeless to God’s WORD

The dream highlighted twos. Two women with me. Two buildings. Two groups of people (the swarm and the women/me). Two women at the hostess counter. Two views (no food and there is food). In Judaic Gematria, two suggests duality, contrasts, good and evil, pure and impure.

Here’s the point. People are attending places where they think they’re being fed the things of God but aren’t. It’s stripped down. Negating biblical authority. Negating and altering God’s Word. Instead, they relish their own voices, their own words, pontificating their own views rather than honoring and being fed and humbled by God’s.

As a result, they’re walking among us empty, without the truth and life of God. Spiritually, severely malnourished . . . oblivious to their real spiritual condition.

Isaiah 66:2b. Adonai says, “The kind of person on whom I look with favor is one with a poor and humble spirit, who trembles at my word.” (CJB)

ONE CALL, TWO ACTIONS

1. Pray! Seek God’s face and battle in prayer for strongholds to be broken, asking our King to run after these famine-struck people and carry them to the truth of His Word and ways.

2. Lead! Heed Jude 20-23. As the Holy Spirit brings forth divine appointments, have mercy on them, doing your part in God’s rescue operation. Share the milk and meat of the Word and give them strong, biblically accurate resources for them to read, watch, learn, and grow in the Word.

Jude 20-23

But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking forward to the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life.

And have mercy on some, who are doubting; save others, snatching them out of the fire; and on some have mercy with fear, hating even the garment polluted by the flesh.

SPECIAL MESSAGE

While writing this prayer post, the ticking of the second hand on my Star-of-David clock becomes more evident. Invading my quiet time. Capturing my attention. Time slipping away . . . a reminder of our finite world.

We are in the month of Elul (29 days) on the Hebrew calendar, a precious time heralding a 40-day preparation period (29 days on through the Ten Days of Awe–High Holy Days, Rosh Hashana to the close of Yom Kippur).
 

These 40 days of Elul/Days of Awe are regarded as a special time of God’s mercy: Yemei Ratzon, Days of his favor.

The back story: The third time Moses ascended Mount Sinai was around 1313 BCE, taking with him the second set of stone tablets per God’s directive.

Moses camped out 40 days on the mountain from the beginning of Elul to the tenth of Tishrei (Yom Kippur)—where God re-engraved the Ten Commandments and forgave Israel’s idolatrous Golden Calf debacle, which occurred just three months after God delivered them from Egyptian captivity.

Yep, downhill spiritual slides can happen blindingly fast. There’s a lesson in that. Let’s take heed.

ELUL: HOW TO EXPERIENCE IT

Typically Psalm 27 (among others) are read daily. The shofar is blown/heard daily (listen online, if needed) and symbolizes an alarm, a warning that the King our God is “in the field”—meaning that He is approachable and we need to get our souls realigned on many counts, within and without.

Elul is a 40-day window of introspection, honest reflection before God, repentance (turning from all those not-so-good bits), teshuva (returning to God and his ways), service to Him and others, worship, fasting, seeking forgiveness from those we have wronged (and certainly taking spiritual stock that we have indeed forgiven those who have harmed/hurt us).

Some people journal their spiritual moments and take weeklong exploratory dives into key topics like justice, compassion, mercy, forgiveness, etc.

May your time be revealing, healing, genuinely transformational before our King. And may it lay the groundwork for a deeper spiritual course where you’ll be inscribed and sealed for a good year.

Psalm 27:13-14

I would have fainted had I not believed (had faith) that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living! Hope (wait with expectancy) for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait (expectantly) for the Lord!

The Rusch family (Nick/Kristen with their baby) are serving in Bukhara, Uzbekistan, discipling local church leaders while reinvesting and building relationships with the Persian, Tajik, and Domari peoples.

Uzbekistan is a closed nation—largely Muslim. Per Open Door, any Christian who converts from Islam faces increased pressure from their family and community. These converts may be beaten or expelled from their communities.” They can be fined for meeting “illegally,” possessing religious literature, or having Christian songs on their smartphones, etc.

Mighty God, there is none like you, none above you. No one can reverse your acts. You are Righteous, Holy, Justice, Redeemer. Please blanket the Rusch family with your protection, wisdom, provision, mercy. Cloak them and the Uzbekistan Christians under your wings, hidden from the persecutions and raiding parties. Glorious Father, please turn events so restrictions against your church in Uzbekistan are removed. Help your young church there to grow and mature in your Word through solid discipleship. LORD, you’ve been stirring the hearts of people in Iran toward you, please continue to allow the seeds of the Gospel to blanket the entire Persian world and rise like a bright beacon of your love and truth in our Messiah Jesus. In His Name we pray.

We’re at another crossroads. One of our prayer warriors (Marilouise) had our nation and Israel on her heart, which I’m sure echos within all of us.

Help us, LORD OF HOSTS, to cleanse our hearts and hands before you. Help this nation to humble itself, turn to God, and pray for forgiveness, turning away from wicked things and turning toward the truth of the Word. Abba, help our leaders, citizens, church leaders to recognize Israel as the apple of God’s eye, pray for her, and stand firm with Israel, who will never be destroyed. What you have declared, Precious King, will be done. No one can reverse your works, declarations, promises. In Jesus’s holy Name.

September 30 surgery date. From our prior prayer list, we’re interceding for Jeanelle’s hysterectomy, after diagnostics showed an abnormality in the uterus.

Majestic King your eye is on your daughter who has walked faithfully with you for years. Let her see the greatness of your hand in this, in unexpected, wondrous ways. From start to finish, may your Name be lifted up, be exalted, pre-surgery, during the surgery, and throughout the healing and recovery process. In Jesus’s brilliant Name, Messiah, our Reward.

UPDATE! Her October 10 operation is now uncertain because preliminary diagnostics revealed an enlarged heart and blockages in the right and left branches. From our prior prayer list, Bernie has been preparing for a hip replacement procedure–and is still waiting now with this latest update.

King of Life, Sustainer of Life, may your arms envelop Bernie and bathe her in your comfort with songs from your Holy Spirit washing over her and running through her soul, calming and reviving her. Please release wisdom and understanding to her doctors and medical team and help them hear you and follow your lead even if they do not know you. Let nothing be done apart from your righteous will and your perfect timing. In Jesus’s powerful Name.

Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved, for you are my praise.

October 22 surgery date. Shirl has fluid on the brain and is now wheelchair-bound. She’s had to endure for a while, waiting for a surgery date to remove the fluid and get her walking again. Shirl has fought breast cancer in the past and knows the power of God to step in.

Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty, you hear our cries, you see our challenges and discouragements. You, the Great I Am, please step forward again and bless this upcoming surgery down to the infinitesimal details for Shirl’s complete recovery. And may you, precious King, get ALL the glory and honor. In Jesus’s sweet Name, the NAME above ALL names.

For You will light my lamp; The Lord my God will enlighten my darkness.

From prior prayer lists: Michael remains in great need. He’s struggling emotionally and spiritually amid mental health and physical issues. His battle is intense.

You, LORD, are the only one whose Name is Lovingkindness, a Mighty Deliverer, Life-giver. Michael needs your presence to overtake this situation, every aspect, every illness, every demonic hold and influence, every milligram of hopelessness, every nanosecond of despair and tiredness. Jesus, may your cross of healing and deliverance radiate from within Michael and may your transformational power be witnessed, evident, freeing and honored. Praise your Name, King of kings, Lord of lords.

For he will hide me in his tabernacle (in his shelter) in the day of trouble; he will conceal me under the hidden places of his tent; he will lift me high upon a rock.

While caring for her mother-in-law who was battling cancer (and recently died), Debbie, a new believer in Christ in her 60s, learned that she herself has cancer and immediately had a hysterectomy. But doctors are puzzled by some things and sending her results to City of Hope and Sloan Kettering for expert opinions.

Thank you, King Jesus, for revealing to Debbie your Messiahship and the redemption eternal gift of the cross. Oh, Precious Savior, how much this little lamb is going through. Please draw close to her, let your Holy Spirit shelter her, your sweet presence palatable, comforting, guiding. Release wisdom to the doctors and, please, supernaturally part the troubled waters and usher in your healing and love like a mighty river. In Jesus’s sweet Name.

Kim is the point person in her family, caring for the needs of aging parents, her own family, her church needs. Caregivers and care-doers need help too—and their work is a worship before the LORD.

Blessed Redeemer, you’ve gifted Kim with a heart to help in many directions. May you now gift her with times of rest and recovery, and please breathe your strength, wisdom, fiscal blessings, on her and her family. May you rise up within her and let her soul hear your gentle fatherly voice and be comforted. In Jesus’s glorious Name.

Miss Brown needs God’s urgent intervention—financial assistance for the immediate and upcoming needs, covering her out-of-state move and other needs for her and her children.

I see the word TRUST . . . Abba, we know you’re moving in this situation. Your promises are steadfast. Your character true, above all others. None are like you. Please level every mountain, every obstacle, every interference in this situation so your will flows on a clear path, your words and desires accomplished. And so everything—from basic necessities to more profound needs—are handled. Thank you, for you are our Shepherd who hears and knows our needs and uses all things for your glory. Mary broke her wrist in two places and then got Covid while in rehab. Compounding things, she’s at high risk because of her stage 4 liver cancer.

Merciful King, please cover Mary with your Name, your Presence, your encouragement, your healing. You who are the Rock, Exalted, Steadfast and True, may you fill her to overflowing with your goodness and strength. In Jesus’s holy name.

Lamentations 3:24

The Lord is my portion,” says my soul,“therefore I will hope in him.”

Carmella was widowed earlier this year and now has to pick up roots and move to the other side of the country—but thankfully near her daughter. Still, major moves and deep life changes are soul-rocking. Amidst that, her siblings are having their own sorrows and hardships: her sister Jo-Jo and family (husband died earlier this year), her brother Chuck has had a long battle with stage 4 cancer but is handling treatment, and her brother Vito’s wife has dementia that is worsening.

We bow before you, Glorious King. No one can help us but you—all power and glory belong to you alone. Humbly, we ask for your arms to gather this extended family and cover them in the shelter of your loving wings. Please speak truth, hope, rest, comfort, and the beauty of your ways to their souls . . . and let your love rain down upon them along their journey with and in you. Be magnified, Holy One, be magnified so they are reassured of your presence with them. In Jesus’ wondrous name.

Marcus lives with his two brothers in their family house. But there’s a potential move ahead to sell the property, an issue for some.

LORD, it’s your desire, your will, that we seek. May these brothers not move hastily but inquire of you and follow your lead. You know their individual needs and the impact this will have one way or another. Please, ABBA, speak peace over them and the situation so however this unfolds, it is by your calm, gentle hand so unity among the brothers prevails and your ways are high and lifted up. In your Name, Lord Jesus, we pray.

You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you because he TRUSTS in you. Trust the LORD forever for the LORD GOD is an EVERLASTING ROCK.

Despite major health issues—stage 4 breast cancer and knees/stomach problems—Andrea and Roger are taking a quick vacation this month, a gift from her son.

Your kindness overwhelms us, LORD. Thank you for this gift so Andrea and Roger can have respite from the daily concerns. May you stretch out your garments and protect them and her son/daughter-in-law along their travels. And may it be filled with rest, restoration, refreshment—and a calm in their souls. In Jesus’s magnificent Name.

From our prior list: Vee has been battling cancer many times. Now in her senior years, the cancer has returned and spread to her liver and elsewhere. Many days she prays for Jesus to call her home to Him.

Sweet Shepherd, our Deliverer, let your strength and mercy rain down from your throne and envelope Vee in this difficult, draining fight. Carry her in your arms, help her to feel your comforting presence, and cover her with your shalom (completeness and a peace not of this world). In Jesus’s glorious Name and power we pray.

Jim is a diabetic who has been hospitalized with streptococcus. He needs God’s intervention, encouragement, healing.

Holy, Magnificent King, look down upon Jim and all his troubles. Envelope him through every moment, covering him with your garment of healing and strength, reminding him of your Word, your love, your redemption gift in Jesus. And in our Messiah’s name, we pray.

Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.

Mary is in the thralls of getting her nursing degree—while raising four little ones and while her hubby is working hard outside the home, away at times. Daily life can get exhausting. Strength, encouragement, fellowship with other young couples in the Lord.

LORD, even when we follow your lead, hardships surround us. May you encourage Mary with your words and fellowship from other young Christian couples. Give her restful sleep and release strength in her mind, body, soul. Protect her children and husband, and continue to guide her in all things for your glory. In Jesus’s sweet Name.

SOS PRAYER ALERT: ISRAEL

Thank you, LORD, for for the victory you will give Israel. For all those you have allowed to survive. From our last prayer list: Jessica, a near-21-year-old, went to church a few weeks ago and received the LORD. And she just got a job! May the Lord continue to guide her and make a way for her to attend the young adult group at church to build her walk in Him.

#2. Maria

From our July 14 prayer list: Maria (in Spain) was in depression and is being treated for her attempted suicide. She’s now volunteering at the Red Cross. May God turn her heart toward him, to believe/receive His reward in Jesus for salvation and may he help her understand that He Alone is the true desire of her heart and the answer to her every need.

#3. Baby Matty in Philippines

From our last prayer list: Baby Matty made it through the cleft surgery! But he now needs healing for an infection from the surgery. LORD, thank you for your kindness in helping Matty. Please now strengthen him for this next surgery, which we’re told is going to be more traumatic to his little body. Clothe him with your mercy.

From our last and prior prayer list: Alexandria is a young woman who is incarcerated but trying to get her life back on track. She just finished her high school degree while inside and had her graduation on 8/14/2024! LORD, thank you for encouraging Alex along the way to this milestone. May she now turn her eyes to you. Help her soul to hunger for you and your Word . . . and not be fooled and lured by the world’s mindset and spiritual darkness surrounding her in that environment.

Bittersweet update. With God’s grace and bathed in your prayers (thank you all so much), Jamie made it through the hip socket surgery. He was to be moved to a rehab center this week, which was delayed due to a setback with pulmonary edema. But now the rehab isn’t going to happen. His stage 4 lung and liver cancer have spread even more . . . and he’s hoping to return home for at-home hospice care.

We bow before you, LORD, grateful for helping Jamie through the hip-socket surgery. Blessed Redeemer, this cancer continues to spread and is weakening him, unless you choose to step in. But it’s your will, your timing, your holy desire that we seek. Please stretch out your wings and draw Jamie beneath them, gently, mercifully, calmly, in your quiet love, as he looks to you along this final leg of his journey down here. Please strengthen him and his family (mom, brothers, children/grandchildren, cousins, etc.) during this time, especially the family members caring for him in this hospice state. And may their time together during these days be blessed and precious in your sight.

El Gibbor, our Mighty God, Ginny must be weary and frightened . . . and perhaps, hopeless. Please step into her life in such a way that the wonder of your Gospel message with its blessed hope (Jesus) revive Ginny spiritually and physically.

Be pleased, O LORD, to deliver me! O LORD, make haste to help me!

In her 30s, she greatly needs God’s redemptive hand, salvation in Jesus, and deliverance from the demonic pull and confusion of a Woke culture and family.

King of kings, there is none like you. Erica’s soul needs your cleansing, your hand to cut the ties that are binding her, your true freedom in Jesus. Let your Truth, Life, and Way surround her on every side so her spiritual eyes are awakened to You.

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

Diagnostics on this man, a believer in Jesus, revealed “something” in the pancreas—possibly a stone. Further tests will be run for clarification and next steps.

El Elyon, our God Most High, you are the great Revealer. Please give wisdom and understanding to the doctors so this man will gain relief from the condition he’s been living with since late last year. And by your hand and love, may he be healed.

Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Battle on. When God moves, the enemy stirs. God has ushered positive, new things to prayerfully ignite a new chapter in Kevin’s life—going back to a Christian university for a bachelor’s degree in Christian Studies with emphasis on Global Ministries. And he started his new job and likes it. Now he needs God’s covering and to stay armored up against the enemy’s wiles to derail things.

LORD, protect these gifts from you, your lovingkindness is too wonderful for us to comprehend. Please continue to help Kevin in his walk with you, in his work, and in his family. Gird him and raise up his soul for your glory.

Philippians 4:19

And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

We’ve prayed for some time that Michelle’s allergies would be more in control—she’s had difficulties with breathing and extremely limited food options that her body could tolerate. But God is moving via some recent treatments that have been easing things. Please keep her in your prayers for God’s complete restoration and her sense of smell to return.

Abba, all things rest in your hands. We thank you for the respite and help with medication. Please cover your daughter with your healing hand and restore her, rebalancing her body and internal systems for your glory.

(1) Mary needed God’s direction on continuing her nursing education which has been difficult with four little ones and a truck-driving hubby who must work out of town. But God the Way-Maker stepped in! Kevin has a new job that allows him to be in town more often, paving the way for Mary’s education to continue more easily.

(2) You might recall praying for her brother Henry who had drug issues and so did his pregnant girlfriend. Both are doing well, maintaining a stable environment, and preparing for their baby girl’s arrival next month!

Lord God, you are kind and merciful. We praise you for your goodness on Mary and her entire family. Bless the new baby, protect the delivery process and provide all that’s needed. And lead Mary in her studies, giving her understanding, knowledge, and wisdom in her field to help and bless others for your name’s sake.

Finding our way isn’t easy for our young people. Jessica is a creative and will soon turn 21 and feels lost. She needs to find her purpose in Christ, commit to walking with him uprightly and to follow His lead for a job that blesses her fiscally, spiritually, and mentally.

Lord, you are our glory and the lifter of our head. Walk with Jessica and call her forward, sharing those things she needs to know and learn, casting down all desires that are not of you. And please guide her in a solid job search that is good in your sight.

It’s been a bumpy on-again/off-again spiritual road for Thomas. His mom (Bernie) needs your prayer support to do battle on Thomas’s behalf.

Lord God, King of the fight, pierce the darkness, rip away the stubbornness, pride, lies, jealousies, and the slick wiles of the devil. We’re wrestling in prayer for Michael, Diana and Mike’s son. As Diana says, “We have Michael on the mat.” We’re not giving up in this spiritual warfare—his health, anger issues, and his walk with God. Recently, his doctor offered nothing to help his situation, so Michael is seeing another doctor in August.

There is you and no other, Adonai. Only you have the answers. Only you have the love and power to bring forth the physical healing and to disrupt and disintegrate the principalities, the hosts of wickedness in heavenly places, and the demonic influences that have derailed Michael’s vibrance, well-being, and love for you. Please, my King, speak the words of life that will birth healing and deliverance.

But, as it is written, What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him.

The road has been long . . . and Jamie (as of this writing) has decided to stop treatment for his stage 4 lung/liver cancer. He knows Jesus and is trusting God along his journey in Him.

Glorious King, please shelter Jamie in your hand, drawing him closer. Let the beauty of your Presence fill his home, his soul, and every day you’ve ordained for him. Release your angels to minister to him and bring others to help his life be filled with your unexpected joy, goodness, grace, and abundant mercies.

She is interning at Calvary’s Bible college in Dumaguete, Philippines.

May the Lord shower her with understanding, raise up opportunities to minister and release the resources for her to fulfill her calling in Him. Father, sing over her with heavenly melodies that she may know on new levels your love for her.

Kayla just got laid off and is waiting on God to redirect her steps for a new position, knowing He has his reasons for this turn of events. Meanwhile her sister has been exploring various work directions, also waiting on God. Both have degrees in creative fields and trusting Him to part the waters in His time and way.

Father, the only constant in our lives is you. We know you make everything beautiful in your time and that your ways and thoughts are beyond us. Please reveal your will, have mercy on both girls and open the doors that will give them stable, purposeful employment.

Thirty-year-old James is a believer, seeking to do right before the Lord and mature in his faith. His long-distance girlfriend has had a difficult past (drug-related) and in a dark environment needing to be set free on several levels.

Abba, we know that you and you alone are the God of change, the God of restoration, the God of eternal freedom in Christ Jesus. Please have your way in this relationship and these two souls. May they hunger for you above all else. O King, please reach through the hardships, miscommunication, darkness, and confusion to bring forth your Light that demolishes the enemy’s handiwork and births your beauty and strength from the ashes.

WATCHWORD GIVEN: A lesson from a God-given dream at the beginning of June 2024

June 1, 2024. Right before I awoke that morning, a vivid but puzzling spiritual dream transported me to a place with no walls.

It had the quasi-appearance of the natural world but everything in it—the fluid movements, my son and me, the atmosphere—was more of a vaporous soul state rather than our tangible, three-dimensional body-soul realm.

It all started with a rectangular thermostat. Temperature gauge levels were vertical on its left side, lowest at the bottom. On the far right of the thermostat was a round control button.

What first caught my eye was the emergency gauge—every level was lit with red, from the bottom to the extreme top and supernaturally rising even beyond it.

Jumping up, I hurried to the thermostat, concerned the heat would cause a fire. But the right-side control button wasn’t working.

I rapidly pushed the button multiple times—the temperature gauge wouldn’t budge. Finally, with persistence, it started to decrease to a safe-normal level.

Right afterward, I sensed-saw my son walk by it, leaving a vapor-ish trail behind him and then he sat down to my left.

Once again the thermostat shot up to a red-warning level. And yet again, I lunged toward it and pressed the control button—this time with much more ease. It returned to a safe-normal level. Then, I woke up.

THE RED-ALERT INTENT

Colors hold meaning, in the Bible and in our spiritual dreams. Red has been linked to power, wisdom, anointing.

Walking in a maturing faith means flowing in what He has promised and what is realized in the Spirit—His power running through us, His wisdom graciously pouring over us, His spiritual gifts recognized, operational, deepening.

Our spiritual-thermostat walk—how we’re called to live in this hour of humanity—can play out in two ways:

1. Controlling the spiritual climate around us to encourage, comfort, and lead others in His promises and truth—like helping my son in the dream.

2. Stabilizing our atmosphere and “soul temperature” while others (believers or not) are acting more like a thermometer, rising and falling as the wind blows, creating an environment around them that’s a hot chaotic emotional mess spilling onto those who also aren’t walking in God’s spiritual thermostat range.

We all know the enemy is working overtime, disrupting the atmosphere of believers and nonbelievers. Becoming a thermostat believer is critical in today’s erratic, unpredictable political, spiritual, cultural environment.

May you remain stable, maturing in the faith, unshakeable, standing on the constant Word of God—not letting the helter-skelter highs and lows of others shift, control, or influence your atmosphere—your spiritual walk, your spiritual sight, your spiritual footing.

Remember: Emotions shouldn’t dictate to your soul . . . your soul is attached [clinging] to God, upheld by His right hand, and should be directed by Him. —Psalm 63:8(9)

A THERMOSTAT SPIRITUAL WALK

Romans 8:26-30

Breathe this in: The Spirit of God helps in our weaknesses. He makes intercession for us per the will of God . . . He’ll use everything for your spiritual good . . . He has called you, justified you, and will be exalted, glorified through you.

1 Peter 1:1-9

Rest in this: In God’s mercy, he gives us the living hope through the resurrection of Jesus our Messiah—an undefiled, incorruptible inheritance reserved for you in heaven. Yes, we’re grieved at times in trials, but know without question that your faith is more precious than gold, tested by fire to give honor and glory to our King Jesus.

James 1:2-7, 23-24

Stand firm on this: Your trials perfect your faith. Even with a mustard seed of faith, humbly ask God for wisdom and He’ll give it abundantly. Peer into the Word, absorb and release faith-in-action (trust). Hold who you are in Him close to your heart—so you aren’t like a wave driven and tossed by the wind or like a person who looks in the mirror then turns away and forgets who he is.

He who has begin a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.—Philippians 1:6

#1. James. J. (and cousin Jake)

Deuteronomy 30:6

And the Lord your God will circumcise your heart . . . to love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, that you may live.

James J. was on our prayer list for salvation in March and then in early June (special SOS text) for God’s mercy on his health (a bad vehicle accident that could have paralyzed him). Some of you already know that our King shed his grace over James (he’s walking and humbled by it)—but now James is going to church with his brother.

Thank you, our Mighty, Mighty Redeemer! Please continue to draw James into your salvation and love—and help him lose any desire for the worldly TV shows, etc. he watches that might compromise his walk with You. Also, we lift up his cousin Jake who needs the redemption power of the cross, found only in Jesus our Messiah.

#2. Cristina & Maria in Spain

2 Corinthians 1:3-4a

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation . . .

Cristina battles with MS but also recently had COVID and a broken wrist. Compounding things, her daughter Maria is deep in depression.

Precious King, you who searches our hearts, hears our cries, and rejoices over us with songs of deliverance, please release encouragement and healing to Cristina and lift and cast off the dark cloud of lies and hopelessness surrounding Maria, replacing it with your Holy Spirit, our comforter, the carrier of your Word, counsel, guidance.

Acts 16:30-31

And he brought them out and said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”

A sister in the Lord, LeeAnn has been called up to glory and now resides with her Savior King. But her family—husband Michael and daughters Ariel, Kira, Bailey—are unsaved.

Adonai, reveal your greatness in your Word and surround this family with your truth so they may have the eternal comfort that can only come from your presence through the King of kings, Jesus.

A junior at UNLV and on their swim team, Hannah has a series of health issues with no solid treatment plans, from hyperthyroidism and exhaustion to headaches and passing out.

El Shaddai, Mighty God, please reach down and cover your daughter Hannah, reveal what lies beneath and behind these medical problems and pave a clear path of wisdom of how to handle them and heal them—whether in the natural or your supernatural intervention. All for your Glory!

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

Marcus is seeking solid, fiscally viable work opportunities so he can contribute more to the household shared with his brothers.

Abba, all things are within your power, within your right hand, flowing from your lovingkindness. Please open the floodgates for Marcus, giving him the resources and abilities to cast his net wide and bountifully.

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.

For a long time, Bonnie has been suffering every day with pain and difficulty sitting/lying down and walking (even when using a walker). She’s patiently believing God for relief and healing. Meanwhile her 17-year-old daughter Maggie (Down Syndrome) has a sleep disorder and other health issues. Both are traveling to Salt Lake City for a week on July 17 to see specialists and praying for God’s lead and grace.

Adonai, your Word is truth, your promises eternal. Please give wisdom and understanding to the physicians/medical team and reveal what you want done for your glory and Bonnie’s/Maggie’s good. May you cover them and their travel-companion Sonia with your protection and mercies.

And Abraham named the place, The Lord will see, as it is said to this day: On the mountain, the Lord will be seen.

Please lift up this sweet sister in the Lord, Sonia. Besides her health concerns (arthritic shoulders and pre-diabetic), she’s seeking the Lord’s provision for her car repair and excellence in the repair. She’s in her 80s and needs her vehicle for work.

Yehovah-Yireh, the Presence/the God who sees, please rise up and show your daughter the things she needs to know, see, understand, receive . . . and, please, may your Chesed (lovingkindness) release the funds from many or one generous direction to cover every need.

A strong woman of faith, Colodisha is finalizing her memoir/testimony book while obediently waiting on the Lord for his next move in her life.

El Elyon, we ask that every detail is done to your will and glory—and that you will make things clear so your daughter knows the when/how/what of your “soon” shifting and that her testimony will bring many to your Kingdom.

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He causes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.

This 16-year-old faces many challenges and is headed to Phoenix Children Hospital soon. He and his mom need a mighty move of God to sort through it all.

May the Most High God cover them with shelter and grace, ushering in healing, physically, mentally/emotionally, and spiritually through Jesus, our Great Shepherd.

Serene is seeking God’s hand on many things, from her memoir-testimony manuscript draft to her finances and personal life.

Adonai, may you stretch out your tallit over Serene’s life, every nook and cranny, reviving, restoring, and blessing her health, finances, familial relationships, and bringing forth the creativity and memories for her book’s development–and may everything be for your glory.

2 Samuel 22:2

The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer . . .

He’s been on our prayer list before. Matt is bipolar with emotional issues and landed in a Salt Lake City jail last year—and recently was facing even more time, totaling 5 to 8 years, he said. It was confusing and crushing news on many levels. Then on June 13, our prayers (and tears) for God’s mercy were answered! Out of the blue he was told he was getting released that day! I have to say, I sat stunned by God’s unfathomable mercy and love.

Merciful Father, your lovingkindness is too wonderful for us to comprehend. Please keep Matt in your hand, you know his needs—especially his walking with you again, safe housing to stop homelessness, staying on his meds, restarting his disability funds.

#2. Chris’s PRAISE REPORT!

Psalm 34:17

In January, Chris, a 53-year-old, longtime homeless man in Ohio, was on our prayer list for stability, God’s mercies, blessings, and healing (body, mind, soul). He was doing odd jobs—even construction work from my Uncle Gene/Aunt Marian who are in their 80s and building a new home. In fact, whenever possible, they purposely are using needy workers like Chris versus hiring a construction company, so their housebuilding is about helping others along the way to have work and dignity.

Yowza! God moved on this prayer and through my aunt/uncle’s holy work. Chris and his girlfriend now have an apartment! And Chris is sharing his blessings by helping and encouraging other down-and-out people, some of who are now also working on my aunt/uncle’s house project. Blessings begetting blessings begetting blessings, showering on others.

Gracious Father, thank you, thank you, thank you! Please let your mercies and provisions and favor be on Chris and those he has blessed so they may all know you and honor our Lord and Savior, our Messiah Jesus.

Before they call I will answer; while they are yet speaking I will hear.

My Uncle Gene—mentioned in the prior praise report about Chris—hasn’t been well for nearly six months. Doctors haven’t found the cause—yet he continues with the housebuilding and blessing others.

Precious King, stretch out your arms and lift up Gene and Marian strengthening them, guiding them on their building project . . . and cover them with the revelation, mercies, and healing needed for every medical issue.

Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.

The weight on Netanyahu is crushing—if it weren’t for God.

Holy God of Israel, help Netanyahu stand in faith on your majestic name, faithful character, scriptural promises, and lean on you for strength and direction. May Isaiah 43:1 come alive in his soul and throughout all of Israel’s military. May they stand on that truth, no matter what other nations say or do. Lord, you are, as promised, going ahead of Israel and you are and always will be their rearguard (Isaiah 52:12).

Please help Netanyahu and the IDF be lifted in courage, alive in hope, filled with a song in their soul based on your Word so they can run with the horses (Jeremiah 12:5)—able to excel on every war front. And may the truth of their Messiah Jesus reign in their hearts, minds, souls.

Be gracious to me, O Lord, for I am languishing; heal me, O Lord, for my bones are troubled

The battle is intense within Michael. Anger, depression, illness. He’s in a dark place that’s piercing his parents’ heart. They seek God’s deliverance, intervention, and supernatural wisdom of how to proceed.

Warrior King, please arm your servants Diana and her husband with the power and promise of Ephesian 6:10-18. Pierce through the darkness taunting Michael and bring down and cast out the Goliaths in his life so he is freed, victorious, seated in your hand, and surrounded by your holiness, comfort, wholeness, and truth.

The Lord sustains him on his sickbed; in his illness you restore him to full health.

Bernie has had a full plate for years, faithfully rising to her family’s special needs. Now she is in need, seeking God’s timing and covering for her hip replacement surgery, his excellence and presence over the medical team, her pre-op, operation, and recovery.

Behold your daughter, Adonai, and carry her through this, wrap her in your holy tallit of healing and let her sense your presence and hear your voice in joyful ways like never before. May your Word rise within her soul, refreshing her and lifting her to a sweet, deeper love in you.

The Lord opens the eyes of the blind . . .

Mary’s dad has a tumor in his lungs and may not have much time left.

Majestic King, you see how Mary’s dad needs you for his health, to calm fears, to bring comfort from the pain–but especially how his soul needs salvation. We know it is not your will that even one parishes. Please remove any hardness and spiritual blindness from his soul. Help him see, believe, and surrender to your glorious redemptive plan and eternal promises of salvation through Jesus, our Redeemer-Messiah.

#8. Kevin’s Aunt Barbara

Romans 15:13

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

Barbara was in ICU for an attempted suicide. Raised Catholic, she’s a nurse but since her husband died a few years ago, she’s been depressed and on medication. The enemy has her in a grip of mourning, her hope and joy deferred.

Father, carry Barbara in your arms. Oh how she needs you and the freedom and peace you’ve given us in Jesus. Speak words of healing and hope to her soul and may your truth and presence restore her joy and set her free from satan’s hold and lies.

On the day I called, you answered me and made me bold with strength in my soul.

You’ve been praying for Jamie and we thank you. But now the cancer treatments for his stage 4 lung/liver cancer aren’t working well and caused his recent hospital stay. He has treatment decisions to make.

Merciful Father, may your grace, favor, calm, comfort, and immense love be evidenced, palpable, and boldly believed in the crevices of Jamie’s soul. And may he rise like an eagle and find continued strength in your embrace as he seeks your will in his decision-making.

Isaiah 30:21

And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left.

After our breakfast outing, my friend Sonia and I were blessed to give the Gospel to Gabriel by an unexpected move of the Lord. Gabriel is a young man from Mexico living in Vegas but has no family in town. He listened to the Gospel, took a tract with a Christian bookmark and Sonia’s most-precious gift, a Bible.

Mighty Redeemer, please soften Gabriel’s soul, protect your Word soijen and given to him, and bless him with a deep understanding of the beauty of your redemption story so he can embrace the salvation and joy in our Messiah Jesus.

Psalm 107:6

Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble and he delivered them from their distress.

Another young man my friend Sonia and I met on our unexpected God-ordained ministry day. Brian is homeless and wants to find his mother and get to his brother Matthew who is not well in another state. He prayed with us and seeks God’s help with provisions and in working out all these family and housing issues.

May God arise in Brian’s life in new, surprising, wondrous ways and release provisions and relational healings for his good and God’s glory.

Thirty-year-old James is asking God for wisdom, direction on his life, positive changes, and deliverance for those situations binding him.

Lord Most High, you see the struggles, you hear James’s cries. Reach down and point the way and clearly set the answers before him. Teach him, mature his walk of faith in you throughout the journey so you are glorified and his joy in you is complete.

A senior citizen, Toni has had some increasing health challenges and is finally getting help but she’s fallen a few times in her apartment and is on oxygen 24/7. She’s a longtime Christian leaning on her King to carry her through.

Abba, please sit with your daughter, send angels to minister to her, be the breath within her lungs and her soul and encourage her in your love. May the sweet fragrance of your presence and heaven fill her home and heart.

A strong believer going through a challenging divorce and discovering God’s love at every turn. She’s seeking improved health, wisdom on decisions regarding her ministry work, salvation for her teen/autistic son, and protection over health/personal concerns for her young daughter.

Mighty King, please surround Leslie and her family with your goodness and endless mercies. Shine your radiant light of truth and love over them. Make your will clearly known and understood, your healing on her body complete. And please release new resources to meet every need. King of the fight, soften her son’s heart to hear your truth and your voice and not the enemy’s lies. And please keep her daughter sheltered in your arms, stilling her fears.

My son, be attentive to my words . . . keep them within your heart . . . they are life and healing to you.

They both need God’s grace, strength, mercies, and healing because of health issues: Michelle’s ongoing allergy problems (with breathing problems and extremely limited food to eat). And Jason’s weakened ankles and his need for a calmed mind, resting in God’s arms.

Father, thank you for drawing Jason and Michelle to your heart. Please shelter them, strengthen them, gird them in your love and Word, breathe your healing through them, and keep them safe under your glory wings.

Lord, envelope your daughter, restore her, revive her, bathe her in your heavenly wisdom and understanding. May your presence in her home be her constant companion.

Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul.

Jeff is in his early 40s with major thyroid issues—he’s had to use a feeding tube for several months and needs God’s strength and encouragement.

Lord, see your servant and strengthen him, encourage him, cover him, lovingly lifting him under your wings for assurance, hope, and healing.

Isaiah 40:29.

He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength.

Avery has had quite a journey. Her past exposure to mold eventually caused auto-immune issues and diminished health, forcing her and her husband Ryan to move from the Midwest to warmer, drier Las Vegas. She still has a ways to go.

Lord God, please intervene and release your mantle of healing. And bring Avery and Ryan the beauty and freedom and truth of the Messiah Jesus, our Redeemer and healer.

In you, O Lord, do I take refuge; let me never be put to shame, in your righteousness deliver me.

Some of us got an SOS prayer request when Nina went to court recently about her divorce. Her ex is shirking his fiscal responsibilities per the agreement. Nina was advised to get a lawyer going forward.

Merciful King, our judge, our advocate, may your hand be on this, may your holy, righteous, and just ways be manifested in the court for your daughter Nina.

Psalm 145:6

You open your hand; you satisfy the desire of every living thing.

Little Mollie has had a problem with a heart valve—but God has kept his hand on her, despite vets saying back when that she had six months to live. She’s being doing fine for a long time but now has bad teeth that need removing; however the vet won’t do the procedure since she can’t go under anesthesia with her heart condition. Her human family needs comfort and wisdom.

Lord, you look on the great and the small and are sovereign over all the earth. May your mercies cover Molly and this family. And may your love prevail over Mollie according to your will and over this family.

My sweet cousin Jamie is back in the hospital today after a reaction to his treatment for stage 4 lung and liver cancer. What this means going forward is uncertain. El Emunah, Faithful God, be glorified in this. We bow down to you, to your power and majesty. Please do what you do so wonderfully—carry Jamie in your arms and make your presence known like never before. Guide this situation with your mighty, merciful, loving, gentle, healing hand and gift of life.

Psalm 27:5

For he will hide me in his shelter in the day of trouble; he will conceal me under the cover of his tent . . .

Toni is on oxygen all the time and experiencing other challenging health issues. El Shaddai, our Almighty, All-Sufficient God, our Precious King, please ease her breathing, shelter her beneath your wings, and lead the way so she can get her residence in order after the daunting move.

Our precious, senior-citizen sister in the Lord is having pain in both shoulders, especially the left. Loving Lord, you are Haggo’el, our Redeemer. Please continue to watch over your daughter Sonia, stretch out your mighty wings, shielding and embracing her as you call forth healing and medical wisdom where needed. Bless her sleep and energize her body to fulfill the ministry anointing you’ve set upon her.

Facing health difficulties, Cliff, a 70-something nonbeliever, is seeking God’s help. Lord, may you arise and show Cliff the beauty of your redemptive plan—the truth, life, and way found only in Jesus, our Messiah.

Jeremiah 31:3

The Lord appeared to him from far away. I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you.

From mid-April, some of us were called to pray for Brian who has a stage 4 inoperable lung cancer. May God’s immeasurable mercy and lovingkindness draw Brian to the Lord and bring him strength and peace—and eternal life in our Messiah.

Matthew 11:28-30

Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.

My 40-year-old, bipolar nephew with some emotional issues when not on meds is in a city jail and just had another sentence added on. Our hearts are deeply broken because he’s out of state and not easy for us to visit. Abba, we seek your face and direction. And we ask for your intervention, ushering in solid Bible studies that honor our Messiah. Please bless Matt with your tangible presence for companionship, learning, spiritual maturing, as well as healing and deliverance in mind, body, and soul.

For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless.

A young believer in the Lord, Que and his family have embarked on a catering/food-truck business. They’re in the midst of changing residences, seeking the Lord’s guidance, provisions, and favor on all that they do. Holy King, you are the Light of the world. Shine your light from heaven onto Que and his family, Round up clients from all directions to enjoy and be blessed by Que’s yummy cooking. And cover Que and his family with your Word, giving them a hunger and thirst for you and your ways always. In Jesus’s sweet, glorious name.

The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.

A lovely Jewish woman who is suffering with a frozen vocal cord. Also, she struggles believing in God, but when I (led by God) encouraged her to read Psalms, she said she would.

Go’el Yisrael, Redeemer of Israel, our God, our King, transform Davida. Release her vocal cord. Bind the enemy’s lies and influence. Give her new spiritual lenses to see you, know you, believe in you, and grow in you and your Word. Make the psalms come alive for her. And help her soul recognize and walk in our Messiah Yeshua/Jesus.

Psalm 143:8

Let me hear in the morning of your steadfast love, for in you I trust.Make me know the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul.

Another wonderful Jewish woman who studies Torah. Ruth needs healing for her back (she’s in physical therapy)and for her hubby’s health—he’s battling prostate cancer and diabetes. The LORD is mighty, glorious is His name. May He speak to Ruth and her husband, drawing them closer to Him, revealing Himself, and his relentless love shown through Yeshua (Jesus) our Messiah.

Isaiah 46:4

Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.

A bright Jewish woman who studies Torah but sees God as energy running in the background of life. Lord of Israel, please step forth in J’s life, imparting heightened and deepened understanding and faith for her to see and know that you are ever present, up close and personal, into the details, and that your Word is true, faithful, immovable. And that you are manifested in Yeshua who came up from within you.

The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

We prayed in April for Caroline who was at eternity’s door. She has since crossed that threshold . . . but now her family needs prayer for comfort and salvation that can only be found in our Messiah and King, Jesus.

We prayed Psalm 91:14-16’s promises over J.B. God has been restoring her! May He continue to strengthen her, deliver her, honor her, and satisfy her heart’s desire before Him.

PRAISE REPORT for KAT

His love endures forever! (Psalm 136). Some of us had received a 9-1-1 call-to-prayer for my granddaughter Kat whose ovarian cyst burst this past week. She was in terrible pain and at the ER. But God’s love and mercy covered her. She is doing much better, resting a lot, and doesn’t need the pain meds the way she did at the beginning. Please keep her in your prayers for complete healing. Thank you kindly.

Traveling mercies as Brian leaves for a first-time, work-related trip to the Philippines. May God’s hand cover him throughout his journeys and with God’s Word to guide his decisions on all project work. We also pray for the Lord’s protection over his family while he’s gone.

By day the Lord went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to guide them on their way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so they could travel by day or night.

My cousin Jamie has reached a decision-making point in his treatment plan for stage 4 lung and liver cancer. May the Lord mightily show His hand and direction that’s as clear to Jamie as that pillar of cloud and fire were in guiding Israel through their wilderness journey. Lord, we seek your healing words, mercy, and will.

#3. Shannon’s Mom & Sister

Isaiah 61:2b

Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

When scary challenges surround us . . . we need God’s heaven-earth ladder to raise us up. Shannon’s mom just had surgery for her stage 4 breast cancer (went well, Praise God!) but Shannon also just learned her step-sister has stage 4 cancer. Both cancer patients have added complicated health issues. May our Mighty King breathe strength within all three of these women—and may His mercies and healing reign over them.

#4. Roger

Isaiah 58:8

Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear; then your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard.

Next week Roger is having eye surgery. His cataract is so bad that it has caused additional issues in his one eye. They believe the surgery should help correct it. May Roger find complete healing and restful recovery under the wings of our Lord, our mighty king.

#5. Joe, Jim & Dylan

Psalm 34:17

When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears
and delivers them out of all their troubles.

Three separate prayer requests—but each needing God’s hand to usher in compassion and healing on physical, emotional, and spiritual levels. Joe’s lame leg and health have made life difficult. Meanwhile Jim’s deep mourning for his son who died last September has overtaken him. And Dylan’s life and family are topsy-turvy, needing God’s deliverance, calm, and salvation.

Psalm 138:7

Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life; you stretch out your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and your right hand delivers me.

With the escalation of war in Israel, Behold Israel’s Amir and his wife Miriam now have their three adult children—two sons and a daughter—serving in the IDF. May God’s grace be shed upon them at every turn and may He comfort Miriam/Amir and their family, strengthening their faith and love as they look to our Messiah.

The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.

Ongoing prayer for 25-year-old Michael who needs deliverance and spiritual, physical, and emotional healing. As a child, he had the joy of the Lord–but from his teens onward, chronic illnesses have stirred up anger and depression. Glorious, Merciful King, please set this captive free to worship you again and walk in your ways.

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

K.P. is a believer, working hard to care for his wife and four children. But he needs Adonai to speak freedom from patterned behavior—smoking and occasional binge drinking—and to give K.P. rest from life’s stresses and burdens.

Psalm 103:13

As a father shows compassion to his children, so the Lord shows compassion to those who fear him.

Three separate requests but family members. My aunt/uncle (Marian & Gene) are in their mid 80s and building a new home—quite the undertaking for their age. Meanwhile my other aunt in her later 80s, Eleanor, is widowed, has health issues, and needs God’s wisdom on if/when she should sell her home and move in with family. Also her granddaughter Ellie is in her early 20s and has back issues. May the Lord make His presence known in all these situations, bearing healing, direction, provision, protection, and abundant blessings from His hand.

Psalm 107:19-20

Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress. He sent out His word and healed them; He rescued them from the grave.

A 70-something Caroline is in dire straits, health wise. And she and her family need salvation through our Messiah, Jesus. Recently, Caroline was taken to the hospital and put on a ventilator—and then the doctors discovered a large mass on her left kidney, suspected to be cancerous. May our King look upon Caroline and her family with mercy, bringing the salvation message to them in powerful ways as well as healing, wholeness, and comfort.

We prayed for Henry (a February 2024 list). He’s been in dire straits—doing drugs, his pregnant girlfriend possibly returning to jail. But . . . he’s doing better (just got a job!) and sent his sister ultrasound pictures of the baby. Please keep them in your prayers: salvation, stable finances, God’s mercy, protection for the baby.

S.O.S. This amazing woman with years following the Lord and writing books to encourage others in Jesus is in a crisis of faith—depression rising. She needs believers to call out to our King, praying that He’ll stop the enemy’s grip on her and that the Holy Spirit will cover her with all Truth to revive, strengthen, and restore her.

For years J’s hubby said he’d never believe in Jesus but now started attending a couple’s Bible study with his wife. GLORY! He’s loving it and building relationships. Please lift him up that our Lord’s love and truth will rise up in his soul so he can have the joy and privilege of knowing his Jewish Messiah. Lord, please remove the veil from his heart, soul, eyes!

Ignite in him a lasting passion for you, reminding him of when he received you as his Savior when he was eight. Surround him, Abba, with your Word, Truth, Life, Way, to the glory of our Messiah.

And may he grow in the wisdom and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ . . . serving our nation in good health (mind, body, soul) under the holy protection of God’s hands.

PRAISE REPORT!

K.M.

1 Samuel 2:1b,2

“My heart exults in the LORD! . . . There is none holy like the LORD, for there is none like You; there’s no rock like our God.”

We prayed for K.M. (last prayer list) who was experiencing the wounds of a breaking marriage.

Well, God stepped in! K.M. sought the Lord, heard from Him, and was joyfully blessed by God’s intervention. Her husband has turned his heart toward the marriage and is seeking God’s desire.

It’s a process, so more prayers are needed. But they’re taking the first steps for reconciliation, working through issues and intending to seek pastoral counseling.

May our King continue to draw them to Himself, His ways, His love, and to one another—a three-stranded-cord marriage. Thank you, Lord. You are the GREAT I AM, overflowing with power, kindness, and mercy. Praise His Holy, Glorious NAME.

This dear 25-year-old is in a difficult battle against cancer of the esophagus. May the Lord rise up and command the enemy’s hands removed from her and may the blood of Jesus cover and heal her.

Being on the frontlines of this powerful ministry (from Israel, to Israel, and out to the world), the Behold Israel team (in Israel, the US, Canada) and their family members are under heavy attack. Please pray for them! They give so much to the work of the Lord despite their trials.

* Israel: Amir (Israeli Jew/Christian, ministry founder), his wife (Miriam), and family. Two of their four children—a son and a daughter—are serving in the IDF. Need I say more? Their eldest son has served prior. Amir is pressing forward like a modern-day Paul, focused on the Lord. May God greatly shield their entire family on all levels, blessing them at every turn.

* Stateside: Gale (VP of Ministry Service) and his family are likewise being hit hard. His adult son (early 40s) has leukemia and has started treatment. The entire family needs the Lord’s gentle touch, His healing hand and deep mercy through this extremely difficult season.

* Canada: Nick (Director of BI in Canada) is suffering with severe back and body pain. May our King speak healing and comfort over him—and may God’s grace and rest cover his wife Tina and their family.

* Stateside: Joanne (BI’s Ministry Care Coordinator) has been enduring some serious health issues and faces yet another surgery. May the Lord lift her to His heart and breathe healing throughout her body, mind, and soul.
